Journal Entry: My Jackrabbit's Strength

I have a journal, but I don't use it to record the mundane facts of my life. I only use it to record religious thoughts. The earliest date in it is November 2018, but there are several pages before that of undated reflections so I assume I started in early 2018 or possibly before. This is part of one entry from that time.

********

"I am weak and not strong, but when I look at the world I am strong for one thing: to be separate from it. To run from it. My strength is a jackrabbit's strength, to run.

To run from the world and it's darkness, this is my only strength.

Lord, I do hate the dark. I hate it with all my strength, my jackrabbit strength. I love truth, though it is sometimes hard to see. I love You. These are my only virtues. My strength is not that I am strong, but that I am afraid. I fear and hate the dark. Ignorance, greed, lies, violence, godlessness. I do hate these with all my heart. I can only come before you empty-handed, Lord, not as one with something to give, but as a beggar. And I do beg: save me from the dark.

I come before You as a refugee.

1 Samuel 2:9 - "for not by strength will man prevail."

I am a sparrow, who sings in Your shadow.

Free Will

"If you bring out what is within you,
what is within you will save you.

If you do not bring out what is within you,
what is within you will destroy you."

 ~Apocryphal Gospel of Thomas

I know that this world is a foundry of free will. It was never paradise and never can be paradise, paradise is somewhere else. I know that it is our Father's will that everyone bring out what is within them, for good and evil. To bring forth either the Child of G-d, or the child of godlessness. Of course He wants us to choose good, for our sakes, but we are free not to.

I have been writing the Islamist writer Sayyid Qutb, a great writer and I highly recommend him. He gets a bad rap for being "the ideological father of Osama bin Laden" and "the ideological father of Anwar al-Awlaki." As far as I can tell, he never killed anyone or recommended doing so, except for tyrants which a lot of people recommend the deaths of tyrants. However he and the Islamists generally are operating under a delusion. The delusion is that G-d's law can come into fruition on Earth on a mass scale. At a minimum, that the tyranny of the human will can be overthrown on a mass scale. It cannot, and was never intended to be. The Iranians tried it, and developed their own unique form of theocratic tyranny, but tyranny nevertheless. On this Earth, power abhors a vacuum and Nature always fills that vacuum with the most ruthless and ambitious.

It is our Father's will that we choose Him of our own free will. That we choose Him despite obstacles. That we choose Him, in a materialistic, shallow and godless world, despite many discouragements. That we overcome great travails to choose Him. There is a price. He is willing - He does not wish that any be lost but He is willing - that a hundred million humans live out self-centered godless materialistic lives and die, in order to bring into birth one child of G-d.

The birth of a child of G-d is very, very expensive.

A whole world must live and die to bring it into existence.

Those hundred million get their choice. They have free will. Every single one of those numberless million, get the choice. For the overwhelming majority of them, the world of the senses, of pleasure, of gain, of earthly joys, earthly objectives, is what they want. The world of created things. They live, they die, that's it. Which is what they themselves largely expect. Outside of possibly severe adverse consequences in this world, there is no judgment, there is no hell. They were given a gift, Life; they used it as they wished; that's it.

If they never spent a moment giving glory to their Creator and the Creator of all, that is their choice. G-d does not hate them. But He can be excused if He finds no particular reason to give them anything else. It is His choice, to give or not.

The Child of G-d must not seek power in any form for himself. That's just the thing, the thing that the Islamists get so wrong, to their peril and that of everyone else. You cannot seek power to "set the world aright" if the problem is human power to begin with. Your human power would be no different from theirs. With the best of intentions, you would set the whole thing in motion again, with a new despotism to replace the old despotism. G-d's kingdom can only be the leadership of G-d, not you or I. G-d's kingdom is from within, from inward devotion and submission.

But while I embrace this truth, I am also very uncomfortable with it. I protest, all the time, whatever the new atrocity is from the Woke Left. I would love for human power in the form of Republican leadership to set it aright. BUT IT WILL NEVER EVER BE SET ARIGHT. Only you can set yourself aright.

I am angry, incensed, furious. All the time. I am furious at the murder of 60 million children thus far in the abortion holocaust. I would like to take those abortion doctors and grind their faces into concrete and pound their heads to mush. I would like them to feel what being aborted feels like first-hand. I am incensed, furious at the corruption of our society's youth. I am incensed, angry at the glorification of sin that our society commits on a daily basis, every day some new outrage.

I AM ANGRY.

But this world is doing exactly what G-d designed it to do. If you bring out what is within you, what is within you will save you (the Kingdom of G-d.) If you do not bring out what is within you, what is within you will destroy you. The vacuum of the absence of the Kingdom of G-d in your heart, which you must fill with drugs or sex or deviance and immorality of one kind or another. And then ultimately death, forever. Ashes under the feet of the Children.

You have to go back to that very first day you committed rebellion against G-d, as a young child, and renounce that. Repent and disown it. Ask forgiveness for the very first time you turned your heart against G-d. THAT is when you turned your back on the Kingdom of G-d. That was when the light of the Kingdom of G-d started to dim in your heart. And if you cannot cry over THAT day, how can you be saved? I remember that day, for myself, or the day when it really came to a head anyway. I was just a child. But I decided, with the free will that G-d gave me.

Anyway, back to the anger. There are 332 million Americans, and if 331 million of them choose godlessness,

THERE · IS · NOTHING · I · CAN · DO.

If I had some amazingly successful career at assassinating leftists, or blowing up abortion clinics, or detonating casinos and racetracks - which is very very unlikely - NOTHING WOULD CHANGE.

If I blew up every abortion clinic in America, through a completely unprecedented string of successful terrorism, NOTHING WOULD CHANGE. Because over half of America wants them to exist. So they will. I do not even believe that G-d would bless my efforts with success, because HE wants them to choose. Choose to murder their own children, if that's what they want. They are choosing.

America itself exists in some sense to serve godlessness. Liberty. In truth there is no liberty without G-d, but the kind of liberty America provides is essentially license. You want to get drunk every night, you do it. Smoke pot every day, do it. That is why pot is becoming legal everywhere here, prohibiting pot is fundamentally un-American. Just like Prohibition, which was started for the most saintly of motives, avoiding ruined lives, but American wasn't having it. They wanted liberty. The liberty to get drunk. The liberty to BE drunks, if they wish. Sleep around if you like. Sleep with the same sex if you like. Gambling, gambling has been normalized in some form in every state of the Union I believe. Even Texas has its lottery, and casinos and horse racing are as close as Oklahoma or Louisiana. I get ads for Oklahoma casinos all the time, living on the northern edge of Texas. Granted, thankfully, Texas is not as bad as some. Homosexuality, trans, all as normal and American as apple pie now.

No human power of mine, or indeed a million of me, would change anything. They have chosen. They were given that choice to make. That's why we are all here on Earth. Stopping it would be an usurpation of power that is not mine to take. G-d will eventually destroy them, not me.

So while these things do violence to my soul, and I think should, my anger is a temptation to change things with human power. Believe me, even if the Republicans take control of government for a hundred years, even if CNN Center meets the wrecking ball (please G-d,) even if the Leftists are in retreat everywhere, FUNDAMENTALLY NOTHING WILL CHANGE. Because in those 331 million hearts, the desire to sin will continue. Because that is what they choose. And they can choose it.

And I don't think that 331 million out of 332 million number is far wrong. While I do not regard the New Testament as scripture, I think Jesus was probably right about the narrow road.

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."

~Matthew 7:13-14

I have to learn to abandon my anger. It accomplishes nothing. This society is teaching sin and abomination, YES. YES it is, absolutely. This society has murdered SIXTY MILLION CHILDREN AND COUNTING. YES, yes it has. This society has normalized sin and abomination YES. YES it absolutely has. This nation is the whore of Babylon if ever there was one. America on this Fourth of July is not a light to the world it is a CESSPOOL OF EVIL. YES, yes it is. All this is true.

And  · THERE · IS · NOTHING · I · CAN · DO · about that at all. I cannot stop it. I cannot correct it in the slightest. If I pour gasoline on myself and set myself alight on the steps of the Supreme Court, I only become grist for today's headlines, "he was a disturbed soul clearly," and tomorrow it is on with the festival of darkness. And the next day. And the next. Until finally America is brought down.

And on that day, were I alive to see it, all I could do is celebrate that the great satan is over. Until it begins again. Because there will likely always be a great satan, to take its place. Sumer, Assyria, Babylon, Greece, Persia, Rome, Byzantium, Sassanids, Ottomans, Britain, America, China, and on it goes. Until the end.

G-d is King, not me. I have to embrace that truth and withdraw my personal emotional investment in where this sad world goes next. Will sin and injustice continue to offend my soul and cause me suffering? Yes, always. But that is between me and G-d, not me and the World. I am not a citizen of that world anymore.

How do we become REAL?

Humans live in a world of unreality. A good example of this is money: we all need it, but what IS it actually? A unit of measure for human necessity and desire. There is no reality behind it other than you and I and everyone roughly agreeing that X is roughly worth a dollar, or however many dollars, in value. Bernanke, the former Fed chairman, essentially let the cat out of the bag in 2009 I think it was, when he said that the Fed just changes numbers in their accounts with banks whenever it is deemed desirable. Inventing money out of thin air. Nor does our taxes have any real relationship with spending. When necessary, they just add zeroes.

This is by no means the most relevant or pernicious example. When a prairie is bulldozed to make a strip mall, a real thing - a prairie full of life and living creatures - is destroyed to make room for a fake thing - a human economic construct. We are continually in the process of destroying life to make way for death, destroying reality for the sake of unreality.

And hundreds of millions of us are employed in things that are either not necessary or conducive to life or should not be. Just one egregious example: the cosmetics industry. What is the worldwide cosmetics industry worth, how many billions? How many animals are tortured for the sake of it? So that people can pretend to be what they are not. The real is sacrificed on the altar of the unreal.

How many of you get come-on advertisements in the mail which try to deceive you into buying something that you don't need? The people, and more relevantly to our topic the institutions, that send you that stuff want to trade your actuality, the truthful mind of a living being, for the unreality they value most: money.

How many people spend their lives inside office walls and cubicles, imagining they are doing something with their lives? And then they spend two hours a day in a commute, all the while imagining they are free, when they are in a cage. A cage of human constructs and structures and rules and imagined realities. A prison, for their souls.

The Torah is a relatively small set of books, and lots of stuff was left implied because it was not that relevant to the time. Had the Israelites followed everything that G-d said to them, this would be a different future, and so the Torah is focused on instruction to them, then. One of those instructions is not to create graven images or worship them. Now today we think of this as an instruction to people who were prone to pagan idolatry and isn't relevant now (as if modern people didn't practice as much idolatry!) But if you unpack this instruction a bit, it is an instruction about not substituting human constructs for reality. What is a graven image? What is an idol? It is a human construct, pretending to be a divine reality. What typifies G-d's creations? They are alive, they are living. Even the angelic beings depicted in Ezekiel with their wheels within wheels and so on, it is said that they are living creatures. Human constructs are not alive: no human can create life. If you had to pick one great brainchild of human genius as representing humanity's power of creation, you might pick the computer. And computers are capable of many sophisticated things, indeed things that humans would find difficult if not impossible to do. Crunch tremendous numbers quickly.

And all computers have one thing in common: they are all as dead as a brick. Even if in future we could create computer simulations of human minds, they would still be dead as a brick. The people, futurists, who want to escape death by becoming cyberized: they just aspire to become dead in a different way. Still way dead, but with a simulacra to keep your place occupied on the Earth.

So getting back to the title of this: how do WE become real? If we assume, which I absolutely do, that human society and human social and economic intercourse is a place of unreality (indeed this blog itself is in a sense unreal because I am not talking to YOU, I am just printing words,) okay: how do we break the spell?

The average person, indeed almost everyone outside of some primitive tribes, is absolutely dependent on the human system. That means, they do what the system tells them, or at least they do what the system rewards them for doing. The person who is still trapped in the human system but not participating is what we call a street person, and nobody wants that kind of life. And that human system absolutely reeks of unreality, of fakeness. Of the death of reality for the sake of unreality.

I would be lying to you if I told you I had a simple answer. However, the answer starts with rejecting the whole fake human machine and all its values, and substituting values that are relevant to real living beings. What are those values? Here's some of them:

Truthfulness: a lie does violence to life.
Valuing life: living beings are more important than money or human constructs when that money or construct is not necessary to your life.
Simplicity and self-restraint, because desire leads us to do violence to the world not from need but greed.

The Worship Our Father Desires

With Passover and Easter over, this has come on my heart. This isn't mine, it couldn't be. The Prophets said it all before, and G-d told them. I could quote you chapter and verse from the Prophets, but I won't. You either know in your heart it's true, or you don't.

When the Temple was set up and authorized, for whose benefit was it? For human benefit of course, so there would be a place where symbolically G-d dwelt with men. How long it actually served that purpose is unknown, but since Solomon built it and since he started putting idols in it immediately, it is possible that it never served its purpose at all. Humans corrupted the place from the instant they built it. Now it is possible that at later times, like in the reign of Josiah, it did fulfill its original purpose, but it was always ever intended as a gift for us. What does G-d want? Does G-d want thousands of people bowing down to Him in a big house? Did He want burnt offerings, the blood of lambs and bulls? That was a system of human governance: you do wrong, and you pay a lamb. You do well for yourself and you give a lamb, so that someone other than you can eat. That was the idea anyway. So that was for us. Just like church services and so on are for us. When this becomes our only real worship however, that's a problem.

What does G-d want?

Does G-d want you to be a big tither at church?
Does G-d want you to witness?
Does G-d want you to sing at church?
Does G-d want praise?
Does G-d want rock bands behind the pulpit and big stadium seating?

He wants you to love justice.

If millions of people are slaughtering their innocent sons and daughters, and the State protects them doing it, and you say nothing, how are you loving justice? You aren't. Now, you can't change it and I know you can't. If any act of mine could end abortion forever, I would do it. I would lose my life for it. But it's not possible.

But what does it cost you to move your freaking lips on the topic? To write some words on a keyboard? You might alienate some friends, oh no! People may not like you. They might think you're some sort of anal retentive Old Testament type. You're repressive, is what you are.

If you won't love justice when all it requires is for you to sacrifice the "love" of your friends and your good reputation, you won't love it when it requires blood and sacrifice. The answer to the question of what kind of person stands by and watches as the Holocaust happens is, most likely you are exactly the kind of person. If you won't even speak out against abortion when it costs you so little, you are that person. "The Jews aren't really humans, they're just tissue." "My country my choice."

We already know the answer to the "good" German question, those of us who understand. There's a holocaust now and nobody cares.

G-d wants you to love mercy.

Now, mercy isn't always what it seems. Mercy can seem cruel, but if its intent is the well-being of others, it is not actually. If someone is on the street with a heroin needle in their arm, and I tell them they need to stop that shit and get with the Lord's program, that probably seems unkind to them. Remember that what they would consider kindness would be for me to give them a packet of heroin. This is a confused time and land and world, nothing is at it appears. Remember that to love mercy is to intend the well-being of the other, and to act in accordance with that if they are willing for you to. In this crazy mixed up world, it is not necessary that they see it that way, only that you genuinely intend it to that end.

I had friends once. Not many now. What cost me many of them is speaking truthfully to their benefit. If someone is expressing a godless nihilistic viewpoint and I confront them on that, it is because I know the benefit, the priceless blessings that they could receive by rejecting such a worldview and turning to the Lord YHWH. I seriously would be dead multiple times over had I not accepted the Lord and embraced His teaching. Because that's what such a worldview is, the path of death. My mercy, intended for their well-being, caused them to dislike me.

We tend to focus on the more emotionally tugging examples of mercy and those are important too. It's important to feed the hungry and tend the sick. The thing is, if we do not try to teach them to turn to the Lord, we are only putting a band-aid on their real sickness and the sickness of this whole world. If the whole world turned to the Lord, there would be a lot fewer hungry or sick because the Lord would be their shepherd.

He wants you to speak truthfully.

If you lie as a regular thing, lie to other people, lie about things, how can you please G-d?

G-D HATES LIES.

A falsehood is an insult to the Creator who made all things. You cannot please G-d if you lie. And lies are EVERYWHERE about us. You see them when you turn on your TV, when you watch your Youtube videos. I used to get a bundle of lies in the mail every week, people trying to sell me stuff. Actual living trees died for that crapola. A world in which good living trees are killed to print lies, that is a confused world my friend.

I used to work in telemarketing, I know how it is. You do the job they give you so you can survive. I don't have any rancor for those people but for the people who hired them.

People bathe in lies, they breathe lies, they live by lies. "It's not a person" is a lie. "Only idiots believe in G-d" is a lie. "Science explains everything" is a lie. Hell, honest scientists know that science explains nothing, it only offers a workable framework for understanding things, tentatively. Nothing is less certain than science, but science does offer a workable framework for understanding and doing things. When science becomes metaphysics, it stops being science.

You want to do one beautiful thing for G-d (and ultimately yourself,) do this: stop lying.

G-d wants you to walk humbly with Him.

What is this, to walk humbly? He's the boss. He's G-d. You are but clay. Nonetheless He will let you walk with Him, but only in humility.

I guess the first part of humility is obedience. You are not being a humble child if you are being a disobedient child. Now we all have our issues with obedience, if we were capable of perfect obedience we perhaps would be less in need of humility. But we are in need of it, because we can't be perfectly obedient and even if we were, we would still be clay. Still be Creature. What can you even offer G-d who has everything? If you were perfect in your walk, what would that by itself be to G-d?

What He wants, is you: the only creature who can make a decision to reject Him. If you decide your own way for yourself, and decide that what you really need is not your own way at all, but G-d, that is the only thing He wants. You.

But you aren't really coming into relation with Him if you don't love what He loves and hate what He hates. Would you marry someone who, when you tell them you hate abortion, says "I love abortion and have one every time I can." Would you marry someone who, when you say you hate lies, says "I love them!" I hope not. Well, you will never actually know the true inmost self of your wife or husband, their inmost self is hidden to you. Their essence is hidden from your view. It's not hidden to G-d. If your inmost self is not being purified, how will G-d come to live with you?

This is what G-d wants:

“My people, what have I done to you?
How have I burdened you? Answer me.

I brought you up out of Egypt
and redeemed you from the land of slavery.
I sent Moses to lead you,
    also Aaron and Miriam.

My people, remember
what Balak king of Moab plotted
and what Balaam son of Beor answered.
Remember your journey from Shittim to Gilgal,
that you may know the righteous acts of the Lord."

With what shall I come before the Lord
and bow down before the exalted God?
Shall I come before him with burnt offerings,
    with calves a year old?

Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams,
with ten thousand rivers of olive oil?
Shall I offer my firstborn for my transgression,
the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.

Extremist

In the wisdom of the World, to be a religious extremist is a very very bad thing. Now, nobody in their right minds likes or should like the idea of using hijacked airplanes to blow up buildings full of civilians. These were very very bad religious extremists indeed. However, the prevailing culture paints every expression of religion that seems to them extreme, with the same brush. Extreme beliefs, extreme lives, extreme thoughts. If say you are a Christian and go to Mass 3 times a week, you are in danger of becoming a terrorist, or at least in danger of promoting things that are "unprogressive" to the larger society. Which nowadays is almost the same to some.

Indeed to some nowadays, believing in the G-d of Abraham at all and following His ways, is a transgression.

Now, what Bible passages can we use to justify moderate religion? Someone who is religious but it's not THAT into it? You know, they keep it on the lowdown. They go out, they have beers with the boys on the weekend, maybe gamble a bit, tell a few white lies, maybe has slept with someone other than their wife a couple times. But they go to church on Sunday, put a twenty in the collection plate. What passages in the Bible can we use to justify that kind of religion?

Essentially none.

Now, G-d has used people like that. If He couldn't use a man like that, He would be very limited in the kind of people he could use lol.

David was a man like that in some ways, though more after he became King than before. Power does that to people. The Biblical Judge Samson was also not a person of exactly sterling moral character. Also, G-d can call people from all conditions of existence, as He certainly did me. I was called out of basically heathenisms of various kinds, alternating periodically with atheism. However, it is one thing to say that G-d can use people like that, and call people out of conditions like that, and it's quite another to say that this is what G-d is calling them TO.

Samson, let us remember, met a bitter if useful end. David bemoaned bitterly his sins and his son Absalom turned against him and rebelled against him, and he was forced to send an army to kill his own son. So arguably David's fate was not optimal either. He paid for his lack of, lets say fundamentalism, in certain areas. He paid bitterly. Moreover his son Solomon fell into accommodation or actual embrace of polytheism, so perhaps David was not a very good teacher to his sons. Or he just had bad sons, that's possible too.

What is G-d actually calling us to?

G-d is calling us to a consuming relationship. It's not like a relationship with a friend or even your spouse. It is a consuming transformative relationship. Now, you can be truly devoted and still talk to your neighbors about the weather and go grocery shopping and talk shop and talk politics, you don't stop being a human being.

You may appear as an extreme human being when the talk comes around to certain topics:

"Why can't you work on Saturday, Bob?"
"Well it's the SABBATH. I keep the Sabbath."
"You don't actually believe all that bunk, do you?"
"I sure do believe in G-d and G-d's Law for humanity, thanks for asking."

And that does make you a freak, an extremist, in the World's eyes.

If you had a friend, who you say is your very very good friend, and this friend says, "do this simple thing for me, it's very important: set aside this one day for me." and you say "well ya sorry I have things to do with my other friends," and he keeps asking and you keep saying no, well, you're not a great friend are you?

You might still be friends, but not very good ones. You aren't being a good friend.

How much more should you be loyal to G-d who is not a man but the Creator of all and the One who gave you everything you have? He should be absolutely tip top Number 1 in your book, right? I mean, if you actually believe that and are not lip-synching faith, if you actually believe that He is the creator of the universe and the One who gave you EVERYTHING, I mean, He would be super high on your list of priorities, right? He'd be the first.

TO BE ACTUALLY RELIGIOUS IS TO BE AN EXTREMIST.

Moses was called

"Friend of G-d."

How devoted do you have to be to be called the friend of The Eternal?

Consider, you confusers

I have heard Christians, fairly famous ones, say the Ten Commandments don't matter anymore.

I have heard them say the Sabbath, the observation of which is one of the Ten Commandments, doesn't matter. All is washed away apparently with the blood of Jesus.

DID G-D EVER COMMAND ANYTHING SUPERFLUOUS?

Why would the prophets say over and over, KEEP THE SABBATH (which is on SATURDAY,) if that was something that would become unnecessary? If it is unnecessary now, it was unnecessary then, and so the prophets were liars. It is not they who lie, it is these Christian innovators.

The same Isaiah whose "suffering servant" you claim was your Jesus, the very same said KEEP THE SABBATH. So on WHAT BASIS do you keep one thing he said and discard other things? On what basis do you cherry-pick what you like from Isaiah and discard the rest? The "suffering servant" may not be and probably wasn't Jesus, but the Sabbath is definitely still the Sabbath.

He even said that foreigners (which is all of us if you are not a Jew) that keep the Sabbath will be accepted same as Jews in the Kingdom. Well, if you are a foreigner and don't keep it, what of you?

What right do you have to cherry-pick Isaiah, and much worse, to teach others likewise? Don't claim him as Old-Testament authority for your supposed messiah and then ignore everything else he says.

Do not be confused. G-d will approve those who keep His laws, and not those who break them.

Now, no atheist can be righteous because the spirit of G-d is not with him, but if we imagine an atheist whose only sin is disbelief, then all he needs to do is get down on his knees to admit his mistake. He then would be much closer to the Kingdom of G-d than a Christian who has proclaimed G-d his whole life, but not only does not do what G-d says but teaches others not to do what G-d says. He is breaking the Sabbath, AND breaking every other Commandment because he does not hold to the validity of any of them, AND misrepresents G-d. And this latter is a very grievous sin indeed. G-d can forgive a sinner: what is harder is a sinner who proclaims his sin. Who teaches others to sin. Even Jesus will back me up on this: "It would be better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around your neck than to cause one of these little ones to fall into sin."

And of course since so many regular Christians feel free to reimagine the Tanakh (the Old Testament) to fit their preference, is it any surprise then that others do the same to fit their preference? Every manner of child murderer, transvestite and sodomite can find some Christian church to embrace their vision of what the Bible says (for which I imagine they must edit out the whole thing. I imagine their Bibles are just covers with nothing inside.)

Why not? You regular Christians feel free to cherry-pick what you like and what you do not like and use the blood of your messiah as wite-out for the parts of the Bible you don't follow? Why shouldn't they do the same? They are doing the same, thanks in part to your bad witness. If you turn the Bible into a confusion, why would others not turn it into even more of one?

If you claim to love G-d, DO WHAT HE SAYS. What does He say?

Thou shalt have no other gods before Me (your Trinity is polytheism.)

Don't make images of divine beings (Catholics I am pointing at you.)

Don't take the name of the Lord in vain. Which has nothing to do with stubbed toes in the night and everything to do with misrepresenting G-d and His teaching.

REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY, TO KEEP IT HOLY.

Honor your father and your mother.

Do not murder

Do not commit adultery (divorce is adultery)

Do not steal

Do not bear false witness against your neighbor

Do not covet anything (or any person) that is not yours. Don't lust after your neighbors car or his wife.

Stop making the clear Law of G-d into a confusion to suit yourselves!

Repentance Never Ends

G-d says: "Keep my Law." Keep His law and you are square with Him.

And even if I could answer 100% that I do keep it (I do try,) I would not be done with repentance. Never in this life can I be. Because, you see, we have a tendency to live in illusions. We have a natural inclination to live by lies.

I go along thinking I am peachy keen and I am not. We go along thinking the world is fine and IT is not. Repent, repent, repent. We are never done with repentance in this life.

If by keeping the Law I satisfy G-d's requirements, and the Tanakh says so, what is this further repentance for? Well one thing it's for is to keep me from breaking the Law in the future. It is to keep me from slipping into sin. Sin is a slippery devil, it can snatch you when you are not looking. But also it is for me. When a child is covered in mud, you strip those clothes off and send him to the bathtub. Sin is ugly, sin is demeaning, sin is pitiful. How can I wish the best for myself if I let myself remain in ugliness and wretchedness rather than asking for help?

What is the greatest Commandment? Love G-d. How can I love G-d, who hates servitude and bondage and sin, and not also hate those things as much as it is humanly possible to do? So when I act the slave, when I put myself in bondage, I have to hate that too. In so far as it is humanly possible to do, I have to hate those things as much as G-d hates them.

As an aside, hate has a bad rap. Not all hate is bad. Hate what is evil, hate it with every fiber of your being.

Here is another thing I have to repent of: pride. I go along not doing well, feeling poorly, being afflicted of body, heart and mind, and I DO NOT ASK G-d to heal me. Why do I even go on being stubborn like that?

While the New Testament is not scripture for me, believing that G-d alone is G-d and there is no Trinity and He was never a man, I have to admit that I love me some James (brother of Jesus.) He said:

"You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures."

~James 4:2-3 (emphasis mine.)

In other words, either we don't ask because we are proud or stubborn and so don't understand the true nature of our dependence on G-d, or we ask wickedly or selfishly for things we don't need.

Knowing that there is an affliction on my body mind and heart and not asking for help is a symptom of either pride or doubt or both. You are prideful, you do not ask for help, or you doubt, you don't think you will be helped. Or you're just plain cussed. Either way you have wronged your Lord. You either think you are a big noise now and don't need Him, or you think He doesn't care.

Because my mind is not right (no one's is to my knowledge) and my heart is not right (no one's is to my knowledge,) I am never done with repenting.

OUR SOCIETY LOVES FOR PEOPLE TO REPENT OF THINGS THAT G-D NEVER COMMANDED US TO REPENT FOR. OUR SOCIETY LOVES FOR PEOPLE TO REPENT OF DOING WHAT IS RIGHT.

Repentance of sins that are not sins, our society loves to see people bend the knee for that. To bend the knee to the IMAGE OF MAN and human values.

Godly repentance on the other hand, that is anathema to this culture.

I tell you the truth, G-dly repentance will never hurt you and will only help you. You are wounded now, but IT IS FOR YOUR GOOD. You are humbled before that which you ought to be humbled before. I tell you the truth, the sins of the sinner hunt him, hunt his soul. The pride of the sinner, which we all are, hunt him. The doubt of the skeptic and the cynic, they hunt him. G-d is stronger than these hunters after your life, but you have to ask and you have to be willing to be corrected. You have to be willing to break your pride and have faith.

I do not tell you these things as one who has achieved, one who has run his race and is ready for the crown to be put on his head. I tell you this as your fellow sinner: for the love of you, for the love of me, for the love of all holiness, do not be ashamed to repent.

Repentance Never Ends.
